Jim is a senior Tax Partner at Templeton, bringing vast experience to Templeton's high net worth individuals and corporate clients. Formerly with Coopers &  Lybrand, Jim served as Partner-In-Charge of the Tax Department in the Phoenix, Ariz. and a Tax Partner in Boca Raton and Miami, Fla. Jim founded his own CPA firm in 1980 in Boca Raton, Fla., Jim Machen Chartered.  His firm operated as a boutique firm catering to high net worth individuals and their entrepreneurial enterprises. Jim combined his firm with Templeton in January 2008.  Jim is considered his clients' most trusted advisor and has become a close personal friend to many of them as a result.

His experience includes tax structuring for entrepreneurial entities, wealth and estate planning and management, and strategic tax planning with individuals and corporations.
